A Weekend Escape, No Suitcase, Just a Painting

I don't know about you, but some weeks I just need to get away. Not necessarily on a plane—sometimes, a painting is enough.

Far out, near the horizon, two sailboats drift with their sails full and white against the sky.

And the sky. Oh, that sky. It's the kind of blue that makes you want to lie down on warm grass and just stare. Fluffy clouds pile up like whipped cream, and because of the impasto technique, they have actual volume. They push forward. You could almost rest your head on them.
